When earthquakes occur

When earthquakes occur, ensure your safety first.

Please take following actions for safety.


First, ensure your safety

Get into under rigid furniture such as table and desk to ensure your safety.

Put out the fire immediately

If the earthquakes stop, put out the fire of gas equipment immediately and close the gas cock.

Check the smell of gas

Check the gas does not smell from gas equipment or gas meter.

If the gas smell

When you use the gas again

Before using the gas again, check the gas equipment is not inclined, connected part is not disconnected, there is no defect in air supply and exhaust unit, and the gas does not smell.

If you find any defect, contact Chubu Gas Co., Ltd. Ask someone who can understand Japanese to call on the phone.

If the gas does not supplied

The gas may be stopped by gas meter due to earthquakes. In such a case, carry out the operation following the procedure for resetting the gas meter.
